Rawlins students raise $10K
Students from Rawlins High School raised just over $10,000 for their extracurricular clubs, teams and organizations through volunteering at the concession stand during the 2019 Carbon County Fair and Rodeo.
Wednesday morning, the organizers behind the annual fundraiser met with the students at Rawlins High School for a check presentation. Cali O’Hare was there and filed this report.
WGFD launches WildLIVE web cameras
Wyoming Game and Fish has launched a new series of wildlife web cameras. WildLIVE cameras will stream live on the agency’s website, giving viewers an up-close look at wildlife. Game and Fish is asking for landowner partnership in hopes of increasing cameras throughout the state. Emma Diercks has the story.

Trash hauler discussion delayed in Rawlins
The Rawlins City Council was forced to postpone the second reading of Title 8 after realizing the municipality failed to properly advertise a public hearing.
The delay is no problem for Councilman Aaron Durst, who asked his fellow councilors to meet one last time in order to hammer out a few final changes to the document that sets forth the regulations for the city’s trash haulers. Cali O’Hare has the latest in this story.
Saratoga may be test site for sunscreen dispensers
Carbon County’s Public Health Emergency Preparedness is collaborating with Wyoming Cancer Resource to distribute sunscreen and bug spray dispensers in heavily recreated areas.
The goal is to get people to use sunscreen and reduce risks of skin cancer. Emma Diercks has the details.
