After a wild weekend of unbridled growth, new evacuations and expanded forest closures, Chris Zoller, the firefighting operations supervisor on the Mullen Fire, began Monday’s town hall briefing with an advisory.

The Albany County Sheriff’s Department on Monday began notifying property owners of losses from the Mullen Fire. Multiple structures and homes have been lost or damaged, according to seasonal and year-round residents in the affected areas.

The Mullen Fire has now burned more than 82,649 acres and remains active in multiple spots. Emma Diercks has the latest.
