The Rawlins City Council temporarily lifted a hiring freeze in order to post, advertise and fill a new engineering position. The decision came earlier this week, after Rawlins officials learned the current engineer, a three-quarter time employee is leaving, and the shared GIS-position with Carbon County was eliminated.
