Carbon County has taken delivery of a sandbagging machine, just ahead of winter runoff and potential flooding. Wyoming State Hydrologist reports that snowpack in the high country is 98 percent of annual average.

Carbon County Emergency Management Coordinator Lenny Laymen made the machine a priority purchase after the Mullen Fire. Emma Diercks reports the list of private donors and State grant money that contributed to the machine’s $15,000 price tag.
