The Carbon County Republican Party on Saturday unanimously selected Deputy Coroner Brittany Nyman to replace Paul Zamora, who retired on Friday.

According to a news release out Sunday night, “Ms. Nyman was selected unanimously as the most qualified for the position and enjoys the full confidence and support of the members” of the local GOP.

The two other names on the list, as required by law, are Lorretta Hansen of Rawlins and Joey Correnti IV of Saratoga. The Carbon County Commissioners will select one of the nominees at their next meeting.
