Tow trucks wrangle loose tank on I-80

It was a wild scene at Exit 215 into Rawlins off Interstate 80 Wednesday afternoon. A huge tank used in oil and gas production, struck a bridge, came loose from the trailer it was riding on, and rolled into the adjacent eastbound lane beneath the underpass.

The on-and-off ramps were closed for more than two hours as local tow truck operators worked to clear the roadway.

Bigfoot 99’s Cali O’Hare spoke with the tow trucker operator as well as the Highway Patrol, and has the latest on the story.
