State public health orders limiting public gatherings were extended yesterday through the end of June in Wyoming, although some of the restrictions were relaxed. Governor Mark Gordon announced the two-week extension in a written statement.

The updated orders allow outdoor gatherings of up to 250 people with restrictions. They also allow for parades with appropriate social distancing.

Under the updated plans, K-12-schools, community colleges, the University of Wyoming and other educational institutions are allowed to reopen and resume in-person contact with students.

Indoor gatherings are restricted to 50 people or fewer unless exemptions or variances are allowed. Restaurant employees and others who work in close proximity to customers still will be required to wear facial coverings.

Wyoming’s COVID-19 dashboard has been updated to reflect the improvement in the statewide metrics used to govern restrictions. The number of new cases has changed from “concerning” to “stabilizing” and the percent of all tests that are positive is now rated as “improving”.

The extension and revisions to the public health orders go into effect on June 15th and last through June 30th.
