Rawlins hospital steering committee hopes to reach consensus on management this week

Following two nights of presentations at the end of November, the steering committee tasked with selecting a management company for Memorial Hospital of Carbon County will meet again this week. Cali O’Hare has the latest update in this ongoing story.

BLM burning slash piles across Carbon County

With plenty of snow on the ground, the Bureau of Land Management will conduct prescribed burns across the county in the coming weeks. The cleanup work will target leftover slash piles from timber harvests and hazardous fuels mitigation. Cali O’Hare has the details.

 

 

Saratoga landfill gets new shop

A new shop has been constructed at the Saratoga landfill. The Upper Platte Valley Solid Waste Disposal District approved completion of the building at its meeting last week, and discussed adding electrical power. Emma Diercks reports.
