The City of Rawlins last Thursday submitted 17 grant requests totaling $10.5 million to the Wyoming Community Development Authority. If awarded, the money will allow Rawlins to fund phases 2 and 3 of the emergency repairs to the water system, and complete a number of important capital improvement projects.

In order to maximize the city’s chances of success, the governing body recently dedicated more than $1 million in matching funds. Awards will be announced in January. Cali O’Hare has the latest.
