Rawlins residents hauling manure from their properties to the municipal landfill may soon be charged per ton.

The city reports an increase in the material, which apparently is not of good enough quality to be used as compost or ground cover. The governing body is expected to discuss a possible fee amendment at an upcoming work session. Cali O’Hare has details.
