In the year of the novel coronavirus, everything looks different, including National Police Officers Week, which began Sunday, May 10th.

In Rawlins, the usual festivities and special ceremonies have been canceled, but city leaders moved forward with issuing a proclamation in hopes that citizens will still take a moment to recognize the men and women of law enforcement.

At the national level, events have been canceled for the first time in the nearly 40-year history of National Police Officers Week. Cali O’Hare has more.
