In Saratoga, with the temperature hitting 90 degrees yesterday, a dunk in the pool would be welcome relief. The price may be too steep for some, though.

Councilwoman D’Ron Campbell said she has heard from families who asked if the price could be lowered. Campbell brought up the question at last week’s council meeting.

Councilman Jon Nelson said he has heard similar comments and asked the Rec Board to discuss ways to offer discounts at their next board meeting.

Pool rates for the summer 2022 season vary.

• Ages four and under are free.
• Ages 5-12 are $5
• Ages 13-64 are $7
• Ages 65 and over are $5

A season swimming pass for one or two households costs $250.

Recreation Department Director Sarah Laughlin told Bigfoot 99 that at least five families took advantage of a $50 discount off family season passes that was sent to homes through the school system.

The next Recreation Board meeting is scheduled to meet next Monday, July 11th.
