In Cheyenne, Governor Mark Gordon and other state officials are watching the potential for flooding in different areas of the state closely.

The Governor visited the Carbon County Emergency Management Office during his visit to Rawlins ten days ago.

“My priority is the safety and well-being of our citizens, and we remain vigilant and responsive to any potential threat of flooding,” the Governor said in a release on Friday.

In a news release Friday, the Governor said residents at risk can take steps to help themselves, such as preparing emergency kits, having an evacuation plan including how to care for pets and livestock, and staying informed on local weather and flood alerts.
