To offset expected impacts on lodging from during the construction of Rocky Mountain Power’s Gateway West transmission line next year, the Town of Saratoga is requesting impact assistance funds to increase services at the Saratoga Lake Campground. Emma Diercks has the story.

Rawlins officials consider pulling funds from Bank of the West

With corporate officials at the Bank of the West drawing a hard line against the traditional carbon fuels industry, Rawlins City Council is looking to take its money out of the local branch. The bank’s new policy of not funding coal and gas operations is a deal-breaker from many in Wyoming, which leads the nation in energy production. Rawlins is the latest to join the list. Saratoga man enters ‘not guilty’ plea to felony charge

A Saratoga man, who was arrested on July 1st, entered a plea of not guilty yesterday to a felony charge of interference with a peace officer after he had already surrendered during a DUI arrest. Emma Diercks reports.

Rawlins officials consider urban deer management options

In Rawlins, the recurring problem of nuisance deer came before City Council during a work session Tuesday. City leaders revisited the possibility of obtaining a Chapter 56 permit from Wyoming Game and Fish. Under the proposed urban deer reduction plan, RPD officers would be allowed to take a set number of deer within city limits using live fire.
