Rawlins crews fight to stay on top of snow removal
For city street crews in Rawlins, the new year began the same way 2019 ended — battling Mother Nature to clear roadways. Blizzard conditions on New Year’s Day complicated their efforts.
High winds caused drifting snow, stranding vehicles at times. Snow removal efforts are scheduled to continue through the rest of this week and into next. Cali O’Hare spoke with officials about the ongoing operation and filed this report.
145 dead in Wyoming highway crashes in 2019
Last year was a deadly one on Wyoming highways. According to the Highway Patrol, 145 people died in crashes on roads in the Cowboy State.
Eighteen of the fatalities occurred here in Carbon County. Emma Diercks takes a closer look at the deadly numbers.
Three more arrested in Rawlins drug bust
A substantial amount of meth is off the streets of Rawlins after a pair of drug raids on neighboring houses last month.
The bust, part of an ongoing, county-wide drug investigation being conducted by the Wyoming DCI Southwest Enforcement Team netted three more city residents. The suspects were arrested in two houses on 12th Street.
