The Town of Saratoga has a new website.

During Tuesday night’s town council meeting, Town Clerk Marie Christen unveiled Saratoga’s new website. While the new site is officially online, Christen said there are still some technical shortcomings to iron out.

Christen has been working on the town’s website since March of 2021. Last October, the town clerk said she was reformatting existing documents to make them compatible with the new site. With that work finished, the town clerk described the features of the town’s webpage.

Saratoga’s updated site features large buttons for various functions over a backdrop of a rainbow trout. There are tabs to access the different boards and departments running along the top of the page.

Councilwoman Kathy Beck asked Christen if department heads, such as the town’s recreation director, Sarah Laughlin, would be able to update the website. The town clerk said she’s still unsure of what is possible on the new webpage, but Laughlin should be able to alter the site on her own.

Saratoga’s town clerk said she has an instruction manual which explains how the new site works. She said she will provide this booklet to the department directors so everyone is on the same page. Using Laughlin as an example, Councilwoman Beck confirmed with Christen that other town officials would be able to make changes to the website.

The updated Saratoga website can be found at www.townofsaratoga.org. The new site retains the same functionality as the former, such as paying bills online, but with a flashy new layout.
