Today’s Headlines:

  • Several county agencies say they will need financial assistance from the Wyoming Industrial Siting Council to handle impact from the TB Flats Wind Project, which is expected to begin construction near Medicine Bow next year.
  • Also meeting Tuesday was the Alliance for Drug Endangered Children. Officials from local agencies learned about opiate abuse in Carbon County and what resources are available to help address what has been called a national “epidemic”.
  • Some 500 acres of land owned by the Salvation Army at Aspen Alley could be developed into a wilderness camp for kids.
  • During its meeting last night, the Rawlins City Council unanimously authorized the submission of a regional grant application for the city’s portion of group purchase of air packs and other equipment for area fire departments.
  • The Rawlins Outlaw Swim team has done what many programs around the state dream of, three-peat as Conference Champions.
