Nursing students get hands on learning in Rawlins

The University of Wyoming’s pilot nursing program launched at Memorial Hospital in Rawlins in September.

Last week the final group of student-nurses sat down with Bigfoot 99’s Cali O’Hare to talk about their hands-on learning experiences. Here’s her report.

County commissioners support critical access hospital

Rural health care continues to be a priority in the Platte Valley. On Tuesday, the Carbon County Commissioners gave their support for a critical access hospital in Saratoga after hearing an update on plans for the project. Emma Diercks reports.

Aspen House to reopen

The Aspen House in Rawlins has been closed for almost an entire year. During that time, the family-owned restaurant and adjacent home underwent major renovations.

With the grand re-opening set for December 1st, Bigfoot 99’s Cali O’Hare talked with the owners and shares a sneak peak of what’s to come.

Sports: Lady Outlaw to continue volleyball career at collegiate level

Last Friday the volleyball season got a bit sweeter for one county player who will take her talents to the next level. Joey Saverine has the story.
