In the Platte Valley, WYDOT has agreed to replace the compromised bridge on Highway 130 over Brush Creek near the junction with County Road 504 so it can handle heavy loads.

The highway department recently reduced the legal weight limit on the structure, a move that affects logging trucks, as well as fuel and food deliveries.

WYDOT’s recommendation that traffic be detoured along CR504 while a culvert is installed at the creek crossing has commissioners concerned. Emma Diercks has the story.
