Gasoline prices in Wyoming continued to rise last week, continuing a trend that began two weeks ago.
According to GasBuddy.com, a Texas-based technology company that uses crowdsourcing to track fuel prices in the United States and Canada, prices in Wyoming averaged $2.51 per gallon on Monday.
The price survey represents an average of 494 stations across the state.
Prices in Wyoming are running 5.5-cents per gallon more than one month ago. They stand 42.7-cents lower per gallon than a year ago when President Donald Trump took office.
According to the Gas-Buddy data, the lowest price in Wyoming on Sunday was $2.08 per gallon. The highest was $3.09—a difference of $1.01 per gallon.
Meanwhile, the average price of gasoline nationwide fell about one cent per gallon last week—0.9 cents to be exact. Nationwide, the price at the pump averaged $2.83 per gallon Monday.
The national average is up 3.9 cents per gallon from a month ago and stands at 21.3 cents per gallon lower than a year ago.
GasBuddy data is compiled weekly from more than 11-million price reports covering over 150,000 gasoline stations across the country.
The national price of diesel has decreased 4.2 cents compared to a week ago and stands $3.58 per gallon.
