It’s a short week of practice for the Wyoming football team. Coming off the must-have win in the Border War, the Cowboys are back in action tomorrow night against Boise State.

Coach Bohl, who has been fighting a cold this week and pretty much of sight, said on his network show last night that the Cowboys played their best game of the year on Saturday. He wasn’t surprised, though. Bohl said he saw improvements even during the painful four-game skid.

The Cowboys outperformed expectations. They put up 31 points against a big defensive line. The offense ran for 385 yards. Perhaps most impressive was the ability of the defense to stonewall CSU’s dynamic offense, keeping the Rams to 17 points and intercepting two passes. Coach Bohl summarized the keys to the win.

The Cowboys can’t let up now. Tomorrow night’s game in Boise may be an even bigger test. Both the Broncos and the Cowboys have 5-4 overall records. Boise State is tied for second place with Air Force in the Mountain Division with a 3-2 record. The Cowboys will be shooting for their second conference win of the season. Coach Bohl talked about Broncos Head Coach Andy Avalos and the season they’ve had.

Tomorrow night’s game will be two teams playing with a lot of passion right now. The Cowboys will be looking to build on last week’s win and try to get the win for a post-season opportunity. The Broncos have their own post-season dreams. Kickoff is set for 7 o’clock Friday night in Boise. We’ll be on the air at 5:30.
