CCSD1 rejects soccer field proposal
The Carbon County School District One Board of Trustees yesterday shot down a proposal of using more than $750,000 to create a soccer field at Rawlins High School.
The board will instead explore other options on how to use the money. Emma Diercks was at the special meeting and filed this report.
Pre-engineering courses thriving
A pre-engineering program for high school seniors that Carbon County School District One trustees were slow fund at first are now booming three years later.
The courses are taught through Carbon County Higher Education Center, and they’ve enabled to students to work on projects for the community. Emma Diercks has the story.
Rawlins updates fee schedule for boundary line adjustments
Rawlins City Council updated portions of the municipality’s fee schedule related to residential infill and boundary lines.
Officials from the Department of Public Works say the changes are necessary because of recently approved revisions to the city’s subdivision ordinance. Cali O’Hare has the details.
