Rawlins museum commemorates D-Day anniversary
This date 75 years ago today, June 6, 1944, was a day of reckoning. Under the command of General Dwight Eisenhower, one the greatest military operations launched before sunrise.
The mission to win Europe back from Nazi control was given the name Operation Overlord. The first day of invasion by sea across on five beaches of Frances is forever known as D-Day.
In Rawlins, the Carbon County Museum is marking the anniversary. Cali O’Hare has the story.

County school districts review budgets
Like local governments in the area, Carbon County’s two school districts are preparing their budgets for the next fiscal year.
Emma Diercks reports that officials with both districts confident about their financial plans, which are up for final approval in July.
Rawlins City Council gets hike in pay
Rawlins City Council is giving itself a pay raise. The 50 percent hike in pay won’t take place immediately. Cali O’Hare reports.
