County officials warn recreationalists of road damage
With heavy traffic expected on the road to Seminoe State Park and the Miracle Mile in the coming days, Carbon County officials are warning motorists that the asphalt on County Road 351 is damaged.
A large portion of the northbound lane was previously repaired using cold patch, but that has since failed under the weight of the industrial truck traffic that’s now common. Cali O’Hare reports.

The Power Company of Wyoming received permission to extend the timeline begin operations at the proposed Chokecherry Sierra Madre wind energy plant.

Model T fleet makes stop in Rawlins
A fleet of century-old Model T automobiles came through Rawlins yesterday. More than thirty members of the Model T Ford Club International are making a cross-country journey known as the 2019 Ocean to Ocean Rerun.
The event traces back to the 1909 Ocean to Ocean Endurance Race, a publicity campaign that pitted the Model T against four other automobiles of the time: the Stearns, Acme, Shawmut and Itala.
On June 22, 1909, the Model T Ford was the first to cross the finish line, in spite of traversing heavy rains, streams, mud and snow impacting the dirt roads. Yesterday, area residents had a chance to see the classic 100-110-year-old Model T’s when they stopped off in Rawlins.
