Healthcare committee responds to MHCC clinic announcement
The Platte Valley Healthcare Project Committee on Monday responded to plans by Memorial Hospital of Carbon County bring services to Saratoga.
The committee said in a statement that believes the decision is an attempt to stifle the expansion of hospital services in the Platte Valley. Emma Diercks has the story.

McLendon death ruled suicide
In Saratoga, on Monday, both police and the Carbon County Coroner’s Office confirmed the death by suicide of 54-year-old Keith McLendon. No other details were provided. McLendon was the editor of the Saratoga Sun. Saratoga Police Chief Ken Lehr said his department would release an official statement later this week.
Man pleads not guilty to state pen drug deals
An Evanston man appeared in Carbon County District Court Friday and pleaded not guilty to charges of sending prescription medication to the Wyoming State Penitentiary. Emma Diercks has the story.
Cow Plop returns this weekend
In Rawlins: The 29th Annual Cow Plop is set for this Saturday, following the 2019 Carbon County Fair Parade.
A portion of the downtown area will be blocked off for the festivities. Cali O’Hare has the details.
In addition to the plop, this year’s event will feature another famous tradition in Rawlins: The Outhouse Races.
