Officials from Memorial Hospital in Rawlins hosted tours of its new downtown family practice clinic yesterday. The clinic will open for business next week. The Grand Encampment Museum is celebrating women throughout Wyoming during a symposium to be held Friday and Saturday.

Old Pen gains Smithsonian recognition
The Wyoming Frontier Prison, where some of the state’s most infamous outlaws did hard time, has made the big time.
The Smithsonian has recognized the “Old Pen” in Rawlins as one of the most fascinating facilities of its kind.
In a recent article, the historic prison-turned-museum is highlighted alongside infamous penitentiaries, such as Alcatraz. Cali O’Hare has more.
