Brush Creek Ranch seeks to expand employee housing
In the Platte Valley, employee housing is one of the biggest challenges facing the Brush Creek guest ranch.
Heavy traffic volume on county roads when work shifts end as well as pressure on motel rooms and apartment rentals in Saratoga are the unwelcome result.
Now ranch managers are hoping to build more housing units for employees. Emma Diercks has the story.
Proposed ordinance blocks seasonal RV parking
The Rawlins City Council tonight will consider on the first of three readings an ordinance that, if enacted, will prohibit the parking of recreational type vehicles on city streets during the fall and winter months, except for loading and unloading.

Rawlins officials review trash hauler code
Also tonight’s council agenda is the first of three readings to amend a portion of the municipal code related to the business office requirement and collection methods of the city’s licensed trash haulers.

Ekola Flats wind project on track
Since beginning work on the Ekola Flats wind energy complex north of Medicine Bow, Rocky Mountain Power PacifiCorp has constructed roads and created a lay-down yard.
The project’s manager tells Bigfoot 99 that the project is on track to be online next year. Emma Diercks reports.
