County Economic Development Corporation director resigns

The Carbon County Economic Development Corporation is advertising for a new executive director to head up the organization.

Cindy Wallace announced her resignation on Friday, telling Bigfoot 99 that she considered several factors she when making the decision to leave. Cali O’Hare reports.

CCSD1 gives construction update

In Rawlins, the work to replace the heating and cooling system at the K-1 school building is still completing the project. Carbon County School District One’s maintenance director says the construction project is not impacting students, though. Emma Diercks has an update.

County road and bridge department carries on without Nation

For the first time in 30 years, Carbon County is operating without a road and bridge superintendent. Bill Nation retired earlier this month after a generation on the job.

Until his replacement is found, a plan is in place to ensure the nearly 1,000 miles of county roads are maintained, kept open and safe. Cali O’Hare has the latest.

 

 

Saratoga to sign maintenance agreement with Motorola

The Saratoga Town Council entered into a maintenance agreement with an outside company to keep the police department’s radios and communications equipment up-to-date and working. Emma Diercks reports.
