Airport parking expansion up for discussion
During a recent visit to the Saratoga Jet Center this summer, the Federal Aviation Administration made note of the high volume of air traffic at Shively Field. Federal officials expressed interest in helping the town fund a an expansion of the parking apron.
The project and whether the town even has the funds to pursue it will be discussed this afternoon at a special meeting. Emma Diercks reports.
Tully Park land swap nearing completion
The City of Rawlins and Memorial Hospital of Carbon County are one step closer to completing a formal land trade. The swap involves a piece of Tully Park for property adjacent to Washington Park in Ward 3.
Last week, City Council, approved the final re-plat of the Park, a necessary step before the land can be traded to the critical access hospital for future development. Cali O’Hare reports.
Saratoga considering donating fields to Little League
The Saratoga Town Council is considering donating the baseball fields above the Saratoga library to the Platte Valley Little League.
The proposal would allow the town to transfer the responsibility of removing rodents that have taken up residency at the site. Emma Diercks reports.
Carcass fee waived at Rawlins landfill
Area hunters are reminded that harvested game carcasses must be disposed of properly. In Rawlins, the landfill is accepting them free of charge now through November 30th. Cali O’Hare has more.
