Strand Theatre competes for restoration grant
The Strand Theatre in Rawlins is one of twenty sites across the United States competing for a share of $2 million in national historic preservation funding available through a partnership between the National Historic Trust Fund and American Express.

Security cameras coming to water treatment plant
The Hanna Town Council held a special meeting Thursday to discuss the installation of security cameras at the water treatment plant.
While a Homeland Security grant is supplying 10 cameras, town officials say that may be overkill. So the town employees will work with the Office of Homeland Security to determine how many and where the cameras should be located. Emma Diercks reports.
Rawlins making moves to enforce underage drinking laws
In Rawlins, officials will seek a grant to help the police department enforce underage drinking laws. The funding is important because incidences of underage drinking are on the rise in the city. Cali O’Hare reports.
