Trash hauler licenses renewed
Dirty Boyz Sanitation and Wyoming Waste Systems can operate in Rawlins for another year. City council authorized the renewal of their trash hauling licenses for another during its January 7th meeting. Cali O’Hare reports.
Landfill continues to discuss carcass issues
The Upper Platte River Solid Waste Disposal District continues to discuss possible solutions to the problem of what to do with animal carcasses once the landfill in Saratoga closes. A district board member recently attended a seminar focused one the issue and shared what he learned at the last meeting. Emma Diercks reports.
Bank of the West designated as public funds depository
Last month, Rawlins City Council the City Finance Director excluded the local branch of the Bank of the West from being designated as a public funds depository because of a missed application deadline.
All that changed last week when council learned that banks are not subject to any state mandated deadline for the designation. Cali O’Hare has the story.

Saratoga and Stevens still at odds over tap
In Saratoga, the town and a private property owner remain at odds over a water meter. Town Council last week approved a location on the property near the Hugus Ditch. However, Randy Stevens told the water and sewer board to he does not like the approved location. Emma Diercks has the story.
