Police investigating Rawlins vandalism

In Rawlins, the police department is investigating about two dozen reports of vandalism and malicious mischief across the city.

Graffiti have been sprayed on private and public property. The windshields of several pickup trucks have been shot out. Investigators believe the events are related.

The Rawlins Police Department is asking for assistance in this case. If anyone has any video surveillance from a business or residence that may have captured an image of the perpetrators or vehicle, please contact RPD. Please reference the pin map below for the general locations of the recent crimes. Any tips that citizens may have, please call RPD at 307-328-4530.

SCWEMS hires full-time EMTs

The South Central Wyoming EMS now has three full-time employees. Two full-time EMTs have been hired to assist the director and volunteers in covering the entire SCWEMS jurisdiction. Emma Diercks has the story.

 

 

Officials discuss county horse barn project

The Carbon County Commissioners will meet today and hear from members of the county’s Fair Board about a new master plan for the fairgrounds in Rawlins. The plan is part of an ongoing effort to make improvements at the fairgrounds.

Members of the fair board introduced their proposal for a new horse barn at the last meeting, and today they’re expected to delve into the funding details. Cali O’Hare has more.

Water line relocation still in question

The Saratoga Carbon County Impact Joint Powers Board are continuing to consider a water line relocation at the Saratoga Jet Center.

The water line is to move prior to the airport apron expansion in the Spring of 2021. Emma Diercks reports.
