Three signal repeaters on Elk Mountain which have reached the end of their lifespan are being replaced. The repeaters are used to transmit public safety messages throughout Carbon County, but due to their age, replacement parts are no longer available.

Last week, Sheriff Archie Roybal and a local technician approached the Board of County Commissioners to explain the situation and request permission to purchase three replacement repeaters. Cali O’Hare reports.
