The 2020 Primary Election is over a month and a half away. Over the last few weeks, area residents have filed to run for office at both the county and municipal levels.

Cali O’Hare takes a look at the candidates who have filed for Carbon County Commissioner and Rawlins City Council.

*In addition to Steve Nicholson and Darril Gardner, Rawlins resident Tonya Lewman has filed for Rawlins City Council, Ward 2. Bigfoot 99 apologies to Ms. Lewman for this omission.

Communities outside of Rawlins on both sides of the interstate also have a slate of people running for town council seats. Candidates are coming out in strong numbers in Saratoga while other towns only have a few people running. Emma Diercks reports on those.
