One of the seven local municipalities which received an updated contract from Carbon County to house local offenders at the county jail is pushing back against the contract.
For Rawlins, the fee increase is not the issue. The point of contention is clause in the contract which the city financially responsible for what happens to an offender while in the custody of the Carbon County Sheriff’s Office. Bigfoot 99’s Cali O’Hare has the story.
