During the last regular legislative session, state lawmakers were presented with Senate File 79 which required all school districts to have safety and security policies.

The bill passed the senate, but was not introduced into the House for discussion.

While the bill failed, the Wyoming Department of Education is looking toward other ways to improve school safety throughout the state.
