The Carbon County Commissioners approved letters of support and committed 25 percent matching funds for Fire Management Assistance Grants applications. These grants, managed by FEMA, can translate into resources to protect against burn scar damage at both the RR 316 Fire and the Mullen Fire.
The county can count some man-hours and money donated by landowners and other residents toward the matching fund pool. Emma Diercks has more on the paperwork requirements and plans for the grant money.
