The Wyoming House of Representatives advanced HB173 this week and soon goes to the Senate. This bill proposes K-12 spending reductions, class size increases, base salary increases, and a half-percent sales tax increase.

The staff at Carbon County School District 2 digested this and other legislations to estimate their own budget cuts, especially squeezes on activities.

Emma Diercks reports on their discussion, and a planned special board of trustees meeting to be held on Wednesday, April 7th at the Platte Valley Community Center.
