In Rawlins, a 12-year-old boy is trying to raise money to construct a ramp for his wheelchair-bound friend. The project is called “One for Omar.”
Bigfoot 99’s Cali O’Hare sat down with Wilk Tanner to find out more about the project, and how the community can help a fourth-grader in need. Here’s her report.

Wilk Tanner is trying to raise enough money to cover the cost of purchasing materials and constructing a wooden ramp similar to the one pictured above for his friend Omar, whose trailer home is not wheelchair accessible.
According to HomeAdvisor.com, the national average cost for building a residential wheelchair ramp is $1,996, with a typical range between $962 and $3,040.
