Road construction is in full swing. WYDOT will begin two days worth of paving work beginning today around Medicine Bow on two miles worth U.S. Highway 30/287 beginning around mile marker 263.

Then paving crews will move to I-80 near Elk Mountain, where they’ll set up shop on short stretches of both the eastbound and westbound lanes. Paving work is also coming to Saratoga and Baggs in coming weeks.

Motorists through the work zones should expect reduced speed limits, lane closures and related delays. Delays can also be expected near Walcott Junction at the 130-I80 junction with heavy truck traffic entering and exiting the WYDOT sand and gravel operation there. Drivers are advised to avoid distractions and obey traffic control signs and flaggers.
