The Hollywood version of “Joe Pickett,” based on Wyoming author C.J. Box’s famous game warden, has been renewed for a second season. The small screen version stars Michael Dorman as the relentless, red-shirted Wyoming game warden tracking down more than just backwoods poachers in a dark, post-modern, Western landscape.

Many of the settings in the Joe Pickett series of novels are set in or inspired by Carbon County locations. Writer C.J. Box lives in the Platte Valley just outside of Saratoga town limits. The television series is produced by Spectrum Originals, which reports that the show has been seen in one million households since it was launched in December. The show is currently available exclusively on its Spectrum service and will launch on Paramount+ at a later date.
