Wyoming’s population is growing faster than the country’s – three times faster according to the latest numbers.

The state’s population grew by 1,536 people between July 2020 and 2021, according to data from the census bureau.

That’s an increase of 0.3%, above the nationwide average of 0.1% in the same time period.

Data also shows more people moving into Wyoming since July 2020. Over a year, 1,368 more people moved to the state than left it, an announcement from state economist Dr. Wenlin Liu said.
