The crisis at the U.S. border has grown so out of hand under Joe Biden that even the ultra-liberal Washington Post and the mayor of Washington, D.C. are complaining that city being overrun by illegal immigrants. The issue came to light on CBS Sunday morning.
D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser, like the president, hasn’t been to the border to see the invasion first-hand. Wyoming Senator John Barrasso just returned from another trip to the Texas-Mexico border. Senator Barrasso said every state has turned into a sanctuary city under President Biden’s reckless border policy.
Senator Barrasso said Border Patrol agents, which have been attacked by Biden administration for doing their jobs, have an annual budget that is minuscule compared what Mexican gangs and cartels make each week trafficking people and drugs. Barrasso visited the border with six other senators and made a point to thank the Border Patrol agents.
In May of this year, the number of reported migrant encounters along the southern border once again made Department of Homeland Security history — hitting a staggering 239,416 encounters in May. Approximately 25 percent of those encountered had at least one prior encounter in the past 12 months, the agency said.
The June apprehensions was 191,898, a record for the month. Senator Barrasso put the number of encounters at 3,000,000 since October 1st with probably another million who slipped into the U.S. undetected.
Senator Barrasso said large quantities of illegal drugs also are slipping into the country unnoticed.

Barrasso called on President Biden to finally visit the southern border in person and work with Border Patrol to give them the resources they need to secure the border.
