Multiple law enforcement agencies rushed to the scene of a suspected kidnapping outside of Saratoga on Sunday evening.

An eyewitness told Bigfoot 99 that on October 9 around 5:45 p.m., a Forest Service Ranger seen traveling westbound on County Road 500 at high rate of speed. A few minutes later, three sheriff deputies followed and then two Wyoming Highway patrol cruisers—all apparently responding to an emergency call.

Sergeant Jeremy Beck with the Wyoming Highway Patrol told Bigfoot 99 that officers were responding to a potentially serious crime. Law enforcement had received a call from Laramie about a potential child kidnapping.

Due to the preliminary nature of this case, details are scarce. The subject of the alleged kidnapping was never in Carbon County. The father, who was hunting west of Saratoga, was located and cooperated with authorities. Sgt. Beck said the child was found safe and sound in Laramie.

Authorities say the investigation is still underway.
