A single-vehicle crash claimed the life of one person and injured four others Saturday afternoon near Riverside.

Few details have been made available about the crash that occurred about 10 miles east of Riverside on Wyoming 230. A vehicle with 4 people inside rolled over while traveling the highway. South Central Wyoming EMS Director Stayton Mosbey described the event.

Mosbey confirmed one person was pronounced dead at the scene. The remaining three passengers were taken to area hospitals. The two most life-threatening cases were airlifted, one by helicopter and another via plane from Shively Field in Saratoga.

Mosbey said the most seriously injured victim was flown to an out-of-state specialty hospital.

The incident is under investigation by the Wyoming Highway Patrol. As such, Mosbey was unable to provide more details about the crash. He did confirm that the driver was from Saratoga.

The Highway Patrol has not released any details as of this writing, nor have they responded to calls for more information about the crash.

Sources tell Bigfoot99 the vehicle was traveling south toward the Colorado state line when the driver lost control. Weather is thought to be a contributing factor to the crash. Unconfirmed reports state two young children were in the car at the time.
