The Hanna Recreation Center is hosting a Valentine’s Day dinner and dance for adults.
On Wednesday, February 14th, the Hanna rec center will hold a Valentine’s Couples Date Night. Recreation Director Kim Connolly said she will provide dinner, drinks, and games for folks who don’t want to travel out of town for a fun evening.
Dancing will also be on offer during the Valentine’s date night event. Connolly said she will convert the rec center’s racquetball court into a makeshift dance floor, complete with balloons and special lighting.
Connolly said she is working on the playlist for the date night dance.
The rec director said the town has hosted Valentine’s festivities in the past. Now that it is her turn to plan the event, Connolly said she wants to offer something catered specifically to the adults of Hanna.
Connolly said the Hanna Recreation Center’s Valentine’s Couple Date Night will be on Valentine’s Day, February 14th, from 6:30 to 8:00 pm. The rec director said the $25 per couple entry fee will help cover the cost of food and decorations.
Connolly said to pre-register before February 7th so she can know how much food to make. The rec director said if no one registers before the deadline, the event will be canceled.
Two days after the Valentine’s Couples Date Night, the Hanna rec center is hosting a Sip and Paint Party. Participants will enjoy an evening of drinking and painting pictures of conversation hearts, the heart-shaped candies with Valentine’s messages on them. Connolly encouraged single people to also attend the typically couples only event.
All participants must be 21 or older.
To register for either event, call the Hanna Recreation Center at 325-9402. The deadline to sign up for the Valentine’s Couples Date Night is next Wednesday, February 7th.
