In sports, Wyoming wide receiver Will Pelissier picked up two nominations this week headed into the fall season.

Pelissier has been named to the Allstate Wuerffel Trophy Watch List, joining a record 111 other nominees from College Football’s Bowl Subdivision. Pelissier is a native of Big Horn, Wyoming. The Big Horn native battled an injury early last season but came on strong at the end. He caught seven passes for 79 yards and one touchdown.

Pelissier boasted his one touchdown of the season against Nevada, hauling in a 34-yard score from quarterback Andrew Peasley in a 42-6 win.

Pelissier has also been nominated for the Allstate Good Hands Team.

The Cowboys open the season on Saturday, August 31 with a 8:30 p.m. at Arizona State in Tempe.
