The Jack Creek Fire that burned west of Saratoga last week is now out.

Last Monday, July 29th, a fire was spotted near the Jack Creek area of the Medicine Bow National Forest. Carbon County, Bureau of Land Management, and Forest Service firefighters teamed up to battle the blaze.

Yesterday afternoon, US Forest Service Public Affairs Officer Aaron Voos told Bigfoot99 that the Jack Creek Fire has been extinguished after burning 18 acres of Forest Service land.

Voos said the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
