Carbon County’s Canvass Board completed its canvass of the 2024 Primary Election today and the results from Tuesday’s election are now official for the local races.

The final and official results are unchanged from the unofficial results. There were no provisional ballots and the board made no changes to the unofficial results.

In the Hanna Mayor race, Charlie George received more write-ins than any candidate received votes, with 66.  This means that Jerrold “Jerry” Walter, who was in 2nd place on the unofficial results is now moved to 3rd and will not appear on the General Election ballot.  Orville “Oats” Briggs will move to second and will still be printed on the General Election ballot.

Other write-ins that were certified are noted to the right of applicable races and summarized below.  There were also no recounts required for any race.

Federal and state races will be canvassed, by the state, next week.

The official results are available online:  https://carboncountywy.gov/997/Election-Results.
