In sports, the Wyoming Cowboys survived CSU Fullerton with a 73-69 win.

The first road win of the season didn’t come easy for the Cowboys. The Pokes gave up a 10-point lead, holding on – for their first road win of the season.

The Cowboys led 39-29 at the half with Fullerton outscoring the Pokes 40-34 in the second frame. With the win, the Pokes wrapped up non-conference play with a 7-5 mark.

Head coach Sundance Wicks breathed a sigh of relief after the close win was in the books.

Obi Agbim scored 16 points in the win.

The Cowboys will play Nevada in the Mountain West home opener on Saturday at the Arena-Auditorium 2 p.m.
